Judy “NuNu” Ness passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013 in Oceanside, CA at the age of 74. She was born May 24, 1938 in Mt. Clemens, MI. She died from complications of diabetes and heart congestion after a very long illness. Judy was the 2nd child of Otto and Bernice Wissner (both deceased) and is survived by her older sister Deanne (Steve) Tomsic of Paradise Valley, Arizona, and younger sister Carol (Gary) Blossey of White Lake, Michigan. She is survived by two daughters; Lisa Ness of San Diego, CA and Cyndi (Ness) Morhaim of Laguna Hills, CA and her 10 month old grandson Josiah Morhaim. Judy moved to California in 1963 and worked as an accountant and did payroll, taxes and bookkeeping for local organizations. In her spare time, she was the treasurer for many clubs in Long Beach such as MWA, Single Sailors and Bobby Sox. Judy enjoyed sailing with the Long Beach Single Sailors Assoc. where she had some of the best times of her life, including her vacation to the Lesser Antilles (Including St. Lucia and St. Kitts) on a sailboat they chartered themselves. After living in Long Beach for 25 years, JUDY moved to San Rafael Estates in Harbor City where she enjoyed her retirement for nearly 15 years before moving in 2012 to Emeritus Assisted Living in Oceanside, CA to be nearer to her daughters. Her family is very grateful for the friendships and support Judy had at San Rafael and Emeritus. Her loss is deeply felt by her many friends, with whom she celebrated, consoled, laughed, and shared many treasured moments in her life. Those we hold most dear live in our hearts forever. A celebration of life was held at Emeritus Oceanside on May 1ST 2013 with family and friends.
